About this Product

The Chiara lamp by Flos is composed of a reflecting body in aluminium, finished internally with an opaque white plastic film and folded and closed via hooks riveted to the sheet metal. Originally designed in 1969, Chiara lamp is a supple construction formed from a simple sheet of polished stainless steel that has been cut and rolled into a cylinder. This self-supporting, origami-like structure hides the lighting source. The light is then reflected and diffused by a large ‘hat’, which resembles a nun’s wimple and veil. Even switched off, Chiara’s strong and charismatic identity makes a striking impression.
