Charles & Ray Eames
Charles Eames and Ray Eames were one of the most influential design duos of the 20th century, known for shaping modern furniture, architecture, film, and industrial design. Working together from the 1940s onward, they explored new techniques using molded plywood, fiberglass, and aluminum to create furniture that combined comfort, innovation, and elegant simplicity. Their work for companies such as Herman Miller produced some of the most iconic pieces of modern design, including the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman and the Eames Molded Plastic Chair. Beyond furniture, the Eameses were deeply involved in photography, exhibitions, and multimedia experiments, always guided by the idea that design should improve everyday life through thoughtful functionality and human-centered creativity.
