about (meinkatz) creations

meinkatz creations began with a simple obsession.

“I’ve been playing The Sims since I was 14,” says Nicolas Lavigne. “I was always fascinated by creators making custom content. There’s real talent there. But something felt missing… the presence of truly iconic design pieces.”

That absence became the starting point.

“I kept thinking, what if these interiors could include the same legendary objects you find in design history? Not just furniture, but stories. Pieces with identity, with authors, with intention.”

So Meinkatz Creations was born.

The beginning was far from effortless. Early work started with simple recolors, experiments more than statements. But with time, patience, and a growing understanding of digital craftsmanship, the process evolved. Skills sharpened, details became more precise, and each new piece moved closer to the original vision.

Today, that initial idea has taken shape as a curated world where iconic design is reinterpreted and reintroduced, bringing a deeper sense of character into virtual spaces.

from real to virtual

Every object begins with observation: its lines, proportions, and character are studied and distilled. Then, through careful modeling and adaptation, it is reborn for a new environment — interactive, immersive, and alive within The Sims 4.

the eye behind the objects

Meinkatz Creations is the vision of Nicolas Lavigne, where a deep appreciation for design meets the possibilities of the digital.
Driven by sensitivity to form, proportion, and atmosphere, each piece is carefully selected and reinterpreted for The Sims 4.

Balancing precision with intuition, the approach remains deliberately restrained.
Not to replicate, but to translate.
Not to imitate, but to evoke.
