about this product

The Tramonto a New York Screen by Cassina, designed by Gaetano Pesce, is a three-panel room divider in semi-transparent polyurethane resin that turns the New York skyline into a vivid artistic scene, with colourful building facades in purple, blue, pink, and green and a large round red sun. The handcrafted process of pouring coloured resin in multiple stages means every piece is unique, and the semi-transparent material lets light shimmer through the surface to create a bright, kaleidoscopic effect.

Gaetano Pesce

Gaetano Pesce was a visionary Italian architect, designer, and artist known for his experimental use of materials, bold colors, and human-centered approach that blurred the boundaries between art, design, and industry; born in La Spezia in 1939, he studied architecture in Venice, later moved to New York, and created iconic works such as the Up series and several landmark pieces for Cassina, including Tramonto a New York.
