About this Product

The Dog is a bold sculptural seating piece reissued by Gufram in 2025 as part of its collaboration with Luna Luna and the Keith Haring Foundation; it brings one of Haring’s original carousel‑seat characters from the legendary 1987 Luna Luna amusement park into a domestic context, translating his iconic, graphic Pop Art silhouette into a life‑size, soft polyurethane foam seat finished with Gufram’s proprietary Guflac® coating that combines vibrant colour, sculptural presence and everyday comfort, creating an object that is at once playful, instantly recognisable and functional as seating while embodying the energy and accessibility of Haring’s visual language and Gufram’s radical design ethos.

Keith Haring

Keith Haring was an American artist and social activist (1958–1990) renowned for his bold, graphic style featuring radiant figures, dancing silhouettes, and thick black outlines. Emerging from the New York City street culture of the 1980s, he transformed subway walls, murals, and public spaces into canvases for his energetic, cartoon‑like imagery that addressed themes of life, death, sexuality, and social justice. Haring’s work is instantly recognisable for its rhythmic, repetitive forms, vibrant colors, and playful yet politically charged symbolism, bridging the worlds of street art, Pop Art, and contemporary activism, and leaving a lasting impact on visual culture worldwide.
