Marco Zanini is an Italian architect and designer born in 1954 in Trento, Italy. He is best known as one of the founding members of the Memphis Group, the influential postmodern design movement established in Milan in 1981 under the direction of Ettore Sottsass. Zanini became recognized for his bold use of colour, geometric forms and playful compositions that challenged the conventions of modernist design. Throughout his career, he has worked across furniture, ceramics, lighting and interior design, collaborating with major international companies while maintaining an expressive and experimental approach that has made him a significant figure in contemporary Italian design.
