about this product
The Andy sideboard by Memphis Milano, designed by Aldo Cibic in 1987, embodies the exuberant and unconventional spirit of the Memphis movement through its playful geometry, vibrant colors, and sculptural presence. Combining bold laminates, contrasting materials, and asymmetrical forms, the piece transforms functional storage into a striking artistic statement. Its dynamic composition and expressive visual language reject traditional ideas of restraint and harmony, embracing instead a sense of experimentation and theatricality characteristic of postmodern Italian design. Andy stands as a distinctive example of Memphis Milano’s radical approach, where furniture becomes both an object of utility and a celebration of creativity and individuality.
