Levitating top… A very strong personality for this coffee table with an extraordinary visual effect which offers an interplay of imposing, balanced volumes. The “Suspension” table stands out with its round, simple, solid lines. The thick travertine stone top gives the impression of floating in the air, held up by three wide cylindrical, robust legs with their zoomorphic design. Essential in its forms, the Suspension table has maximum expressive force. It’s a mix of solidity, radicality and lightness. The Suspension coffee table adapts to different contexts, whether classic or contemporary. With its radical aesthetic, this sculptural piece is displayed like a work of art. French designer Axel Chay has a knack for developing a daring language of shapes and colours, borrowing here and there, especially from the 80s, like a Julio le Parc curve or the nostalgic silhouette of an Italian terrace on a summer’s evening, which explode into view. A well-intended slap for conventional design and predictable furniture.
