Originally Designed in 1958, Taccia's signature dramatic diffuser was initially made of transparent plastic. However in 1962, the product was revised by designers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni to include a more heat-resistant version in blown glass. In its current incarnation, the body is available in matt black, anodized silver, or bronze anodized aluminium.
