Spangsberg describes her process as “drawing blind”: she begins by rolling her paper out on the floor, then picking the size of pen she wants to use. “When the pen is ready I look at the paper to search for a place to start,” she says. “I hold the edge of the paper with one hand, then I know how far I can go, and as I place my hand I close my eyes and put the pen down.
